I am so glad Marine got to visit us for 10 days. Those days really flew by. We stayed busy, busy, busy the whole time. We went roller-skating (her choice- I was the oldest person there, apart from the couple in their 60s who were probably there for their grandkids). We also went to the Golfland Waterpark (no pictures, but the kids keep asking to go back, that's how much fun they had). We went to watch the Minion movie as a family while Marine shopped (until she almost dropped) at the mall. There was no way we were gonna follow her around for 3 hours! She actually didn't even make it through the whole mall and got lost in it. LOL We also went to the outdoor mall one night and the kids and I ate ice cream while listening to the live concert while Marine shopped. We went swimming at our neighbor's swimming pool a couple of times. And we went to the Gilbert Farmer's Market, where we had some French pastries that I'm sure Marine missed so much. LOL And on the day Marine was leaving, William gave us this crazy idea to climb Camelback Mountain. So we got up at the same time as the sun and drove to it. I must say, the statistics said that it takes people approximately 1:30 to get up there and 1:30 to get back down. WELL, Marine and I climbed up in 50 minutes. That's right, 50 minutes!!! Then we spent like 30 minutes up there taking pictures and recuperating (it wasn't an easy climb!). It also took us 50 minutes to get back down. So yeah, 2:10, from beginning to end, including rest time. That's still 50 minutes less than most people, without resting time. Boo ya! I must say, as tired as we were at the end of it, it was totally worth it.
