The kids all really wanted to go ice skating again, so while William was at work doing anesthesia on a partner who had requested him, specifically, I took the kids to the ice skating rank. It was fun!
Then in the late afternoon, Paul and his family came to hang out at our place. They didn't stay until midnight because Paul had to work in the morning, and I honestly didn't think I'd even last until 10. But the kids played (and Paul) played with Roxy, then we had Kodo sushi for dinner. The kids also had a laser guns war. It was fun!
But by 9:30, just half an hour after they'd left, I was ready for bed. I'm sorry, kids, that I was such a party pooper, that we didn't get fireworks, and that we didn't go outside to see other people's fireworks. I was in bed and out by 10:30. But at least we had a fun evening with family. We just blew our horns at the Eastern time turn of the New Year. Here we go 2020.

* more patience
* more affection
* more talks with the kids
