Kendall is 9 months

Kendall is 9 months. I remember when Logan and Taylor were 9 months, and they seemed like such big boys! When I look at Kendall, I still see a little, precious, fragile, innocent baby. Weird, huh?

At 9 months, there is one thing Kendall loves more than taking baths… and it’s FOOD! She eyeballs everything that goes into our mouths. Sometimes she even makes attempts at taking it from us. I’m not complaining, at all. I love that she loves food. I love that she eats everything we give her. I love that she could eat all day, if we let her. And I love that it makes her cute and chubby =)

This month, Kendall:
- got her 2 bottom teeth
- says Ma when she wants or needs me
- has had a taste of just about everything
- drinks from a sippy cup
- lets us know she is hungry by doing the sucking motion with her lips
- occasionally grabs my face and kisses it
- loves to look at herself in the mirror
- loves to be thrown in the air
- loves to chase Logan and Taylor (while carried by me)
- is REALLY ticklish in the neck
- passes toys from one hand to the other
- bangs toys together

She is such a loving and happy baby. I love the way she looks at Logan and Taylor, like they’re her best friends, her heroes, her guardian angels. She saves her best smiles for them. She is always happy to see them when she wakes her from a nap or when they bring toys to her. She may not be crawling because she doesn’t need to - Logan and Taylor bring her anything she wants. I can’t wait to see them interact with one another more and more each day.

Taylor is 2-1/2 years old

If I were to describe Taylor in 2 words, I’d use shy and funny. He’s actually kind of shy at first, but once he’s comfortable, he becomes the life of the party. He loves to make people laugh in what he says and does. I could easily see him as the class clown.

In the last 6 months, 2 events come to my mind. The first occurred when Taylor showed Logan how to get out of his crib. After a few escapes, we turned their cribs into toddler beds. But once they both started jumping on them, we figured they wouldn’t last long. So we turned their toddler beds into twin size beds. They’re more sturdy… The second event occurred when Taylor showed Logan how to take his diaper off and smear poop everywhere. Within a few weeks, Taylor stopped but Logan continued. So we started potty training them. It’s a work in progress…

There are a few more things that come to my mind since Taylor’s birthday.

- He is adventurous and will try just about anything, which is kind of scary… Hopefully he slows down.
- He is strong and flexible. He can climb, push and pull just about anything.
- He is mechanical. He loves to figure things out, how they work, and how he can break them =S
- He enjoys bringing me weird things, like dead frogs.
- When he gets hurt, he always asks for a kiss, then he’s all better. Once, I almost kissed his poopy finger =S
- He is the master of taking his clothes off and putting them back on.
- He is very helpful when it comes to switching off the laundry and changing diapers, especially when I am changing Kendall’s
- He loves to get into stuff, like the fridge and the pantry =S
- He recognizes all the letters of the alphabet.
- He counts up to 10.

His favorite tv show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
His favorite movie: Alvin and the Chipmonks
His favorite toy: anything that is new or isn’t a toy
His favorite song: The Wheels on the Bus

Taylor’s speech has also increased a lot. Certain things he says crack me up, like when he says Fork (and it sounds like F^%$) and Elephant (and it sounds like F^%$ it). Recently he has been repeating everything we say, so we’ve definitely been watching what comes out of our mouths.

He’s gotten better at sharing, especially since we’ve introduced the concepts of taking turns and trading. He does great with other kids, okay with Logan, and okay with Kendall, who has started to show her disapproval when toys are taken away from her.

Taylor is such a silly boy. He makes me laugh and smile every day. He’s so inventive and creative in what he does and says. I can’t wait to see his personality develop more and more every day. I love him so so so much!

Logan is 2-1/2 years old

Didn't we just celebrate  Logan's 1st birthday? I can't believe that in just 6 short months, we'll be celebrating his 3rd birthday.

Logan is many things, but I think that social and sweet are the 2 words that describe him best.Logan loves to be around people, both kids and adults. He also loves to cuddle with whomever doesn’t have a bubble around them.

There are a few more things that come to my mind since Logan’s second birthday:

- He always opens up Oreos and eats the frosting before he eats the cookies, even though no one ever showed him to do it.
- He enjoys chasing ants and ladybugs, and kills them with no hesitation.
- He loves to hug, kiss, and cuddle with Kendall. She’s totally got him wrapped around her little finger.
- He often calls Kendall Beautiful, Cutie, Pretty, and Gorgeous. And she likes it!
- He loves to go to church and put on his Sunday best.
- He often takes shampoo and lotion right off Taylor, which obviously upsets Taylor.
- He is very helpful when I vacuum or unload the dishwasher.
- He knows all the letters of the alphabet.
- He counts up to 10.

His favorite tv show: Mickey Mouse (He watches it every night before going to bed)
HIs favorite movie: Bolt
His favorite toy: cars (He is very attached to them)
His favorite song: ABC (He sometimes sings the tune with random words)

Logan’s speech has increased dramatically these last 6 months. But I can’t help but laugh at some things that come out of his mouth, like when he tells Taylor to Stop it! Or to go to Time Out! when he misbehaves. He cracks me up.

Logan has also become very independent and wants to do a lot on his own. He gets undressed on his own, drinks from a glass on his own, peels his own Clementine, etc…

He is the sweetest boy, ever. Even though I often look forward to bedtime, I actually miss him once he’s in bed and asleep. I love him dearly.

Playing in the snow

We didn't get much snow, but it was enough to play with... or eat. Needless to say, we made the best of it.

Bath time!

Kendall's favorite thing, apart from eating, is taking baths. She loves hanging out in the water, splashing herself and chewing on some toys.

Kendall is 8 months

Kendall is 8 months,... which seems kinda crazy.
I've been hanging out a lot with my friend, Erin, and her 3 girls. Her twin girls are just 3 months older than Kendall. 3 months ago, they both looked so grown-up. And now Kendall is all grown up.

This month Kendall:
- said dada! and a lot of other babbles, like wawa, yaya, etc.
- loves to squeal (and she is loud)
- eats all baby food vegetables and fruit, but has a definite preference for fruit
- eats baby puffs
- chews on just about everything
- grabs and touches everything
- loves to stand with assistance
- enjoys playing with all sorts of toys
- claps her hands
- still loves taking baths
- still loves her jumper
- still loves books
- still stares at her daddy a bunch
- still gives mommy lots of wet, open-mouth kisses

I love watching Kendall play with Logan and Taylor. They are actually really good at sharing and trading toys with her. I love watching them cuddling with her and kissing her. Sometimes they even talk to her, and I wonder if she has any idea what they're talking about. It's the cutest thing, ever. It makes me realize that even though I sometimes feel like I'm raising triplets, it's all worth it. They love one another so much that it's undeniable. Their love it so pure, genuine, tender, and innocent. They are my little children of God. And I thank Him every day for them.
