Funny that this occurred shortly after the kindergarten graduation. While Alexis loved performing on the stage, Taylor stayed there as a statue. He did not sing, he did not sway, except when the 2 kids besides him swayed and basically forced him into a sway. He also refused to take his mask off. That little stinker!
Taylor is such a sweet boy. He doesn't like to display affection in public, but he's all about it at home, when no one is watching, like at bedtime. It's my favorite.
Taylor also doesn't care what people think about him. He knows he's not like everyone else. He knows he's different. And I hope that while we teach him what's appropriate or inappropriate to say and write about, he still knows that we love him no matter what. We may be disappointed by some of his choices when we think he should know better (he probably doesn't), but we wouldn't change a thing about him. Taylor is so bright, SO BRIGHT! He amazes me with his knowledge, memory, and imagination. In certain situations, he definitely outsmarts me. He is super smart, much smarter than he realizes. He thinks his behavior, the one that gets him in trouble at school, defines him. But he is so much more than that. I wish he, and people, would look past that and see his potential. His future could be so bright, if he believes in himself and his potential. I believe in him. And I can't wait to see everything he'll accomplish. He's going to change the world!
