Logan and Taylor are almost 6 months... and they are STILL not sleeping through the night... at least not consistently. I give them their last bottle at 7:30 p.m., and they are usually asleep by 8:00 p.m.. Last month, they slept until 4 a.m., but this month they've been waking up around 2 a.m.
I've tried to give them a bottle of formula because I've heard that it fills their tummies more, but that didn't work.
I've also tried to put rice cereal in their bottle, but it took them almost an hout to finish it, and they still woke up at the same time.
I've tried not to pick them up when they cry, but they keep crying, and I end up picking them up because I just don't want to deal with two crying babies in the middle of the night.
I've tried to rock them until they have calmed down and are sleepy enough to go back to sleep, but they usually cry again within 15 min, occasionally an hour.
I've tried to rock them until they are sleeping in my arms, which sometimes takes 30 min, but again they usually cry again within 15 min, occasionally an hour.
I have thought about giving them their last bottle later at night, but that's the only time I get to spend with Billy, and I would much rather getting up a couple of times at night than give up my time with my hubby.
I have also thought about letting them cry it out, but then I would have two crying babies instead of one. And Billy has to get up at 4 a.m. for his surgery rotation, so I can't let them keep him up all night. When they cry, they don't just do it for 5-10 min...
So if you have any suggestions, please feel free to share because I have run out of ideas and experiments. Thanks, guys =)

Worst rotation EVER
Yesterday, Billy started his general surgery rotation at Mercy. Let's just say that it's going to be a very long and lonely month.
Yesterday he went in at 6 a.m. and came back a little before 6 p.m. Then he had to go to school and study until 8 p.m.
When he got back from school, he went straight to bed because today he had to go in at 5 a.m. Who knows when he'll come back.
Then he is also on-call for 3 out of 4 weekends, for 36 hours. But I think that he'll be in the hospital, waiting to be called.
If you are reading this and you are a 2nd-year-DO stay away from this rotation. It really SUCKS!

Sleeping like mommy
I just love to watch Logan and Taylor, and seeing how they are so much like Billy and me. As far as sleeping goes, they are both exactly like their mommy.
Logan always puts his arm over his eyes, or at least over his head. I don't think he likes the room to be light when he's trying to sleep, which I completely understand.
And Taylor sleeps on his tummy. I really wish he didn't, but he always ends up in this position, sleep positioner or not. (PS: I don't stick my butt up in the air like he does.)

This is exactly what it looks like: ICE! As if the crazy amounts of snow weren't enough, we also get crazy amounts of ice in Iowa! Nice...
Of course there was no way to get into my car that day... unless I spent an hour trying to break the ice... which I wasn't motivated to do... so we stayed in all day.
The only good thing about ice storms is that they make the trees look really pretty... until the ice gets so heavy that the branches break and fall.

Multiple sets of multiples (revised)
I ran into another person at Wal-Mart whose mom had three sets of multiples. C-R-A-Z-Y! This is the fourth person telling me about multiple sets of multiples!

Playing the field
Oooh, I am in trouble... Logan and Taylor are huge flirts! It all started with Skylie, then it continued with Kylie and Teairsa. But they're not just going after little girls, they're also going after grown-up girls. It all started with Amanda, then it continued with Sandy and Kate.
I should also point out that all of these girls and women are blondes. Do my boys have a "thing" for blondes, like their daddy? It sure looks like they do, except for one exception, they also really like my sister-in-law, Marie, who is a brunette. Aie aie aie!

Boys and daddy time
Taylor and Logan are at such a fun stage right now. They love to play with us and with each other. And they really enjoy grabbing our faces.
Here is Taylor playing with his daddy:

Multiple sets of multiples
Ok, here's a scary thought.
A few weeks ago, I was at the DSM airport and the flight attendant told me she knew of someone who'd had two sets of twins.
The day before that, I was at Walmart and ran into a woman who'd had two sets of twins, back to back.
And then yesterday, I was at the mall and ran into a man who was a triplet and who had three sets of twins, back to back.
See the pattern? I seriously hope this isn't a sign. Don't get me wrong, Logan and Taylor are a lot of fun, I just don't know if I could do this again.
And here's the scary thought... it could happen again for us. Logan and Taylor are identical twins, which happend just by luck, but fraternal twins run in families, and they run in mine. =O
