Snow igloos

It's no secret that I don't love snow. It's wet. It's cold. It's miserable. I like to look at it. I like to watch the kids play in it. I like to stay out of it. But once in a while, I gotta make it fun for the kids, so I helped them build igloos. These are the final products. (I probably could have made them bigger, but I didn't really want to.)

Workshops

2 weeks, 2 workshops. Home Depot = Valentine box. Lowes = monster truck.
FUN

The Riley's

So, I've been watching Joey and Amber for a few months now. It's the perfect "job" because Joey is Logan's best friend (after Taylor) and Amber is Kendall's best friend. And it's once a week, which is not too much and not too little. Here are a few moments I captured this month.

Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's Day included surprise candy and treats for the kids, a special French toast hearts breakfast, homemade pizzas for the kids, Cold Stone ice cream by the 1/2 gallon for everyone, chocolates for me, and a date to a Mexican restaurant for my lover and I while a snow storm was in full force outside. I was super nervous to drive the babysitter home in all that craziness, but we made it. Phew. And as I pulled into the garage, I was thankful for a job in Phoenix, where we will never see snow again. Ha.

Valentine's Day Photo Booth

Logan at Cypress Preschool

Earlier this month was Spirit Week at Cypress, and Logan got to dress up every day of the week. This picture was taken on Mismatch Day.

And this one was taken on Silly Sock Day. Logan won the award for the Silliest Socks in his class. You can't really tell from the picture, but I used some old socks of mine to make Ninja Turtle socks.

Logan also got to be the special helper at Chapel. It was an important one because all the kids from Preschool to 8th grade were there. Logan was Jonah, so he had to say some lines in the microphone, sit in a boat, and be swallowed by a giant fish. He did a fantastic job. He wasn't even nervous at all.

That same day, Logan and his class had their Valentine's Day party. It was fun for me and Kendall to be a part of it. Logan fits in really well with his classmates and his teachers are really great.
