Logan and Taylor have been recognizing their names since they were 10 months or something like that... or so we thought. Yesterday, Billy was trying to get their attention, so he called their names. Nothing. He tried again. Nothing. He did so probably 5 or 6 times. Nothing.
Billy: Honey, do you ever call them by something else than their names? Something French, maybe?
Me: No, not really. Well, I guess I do call them "Buddy" sometimes.
Billy: (Still trying to get the boys' attention) Buddy? (Logan and Taylor both lifting their heads up) Oh, dang it! They think their name is Buddy!
So today, I've made a special effort to break the Buddy habit, and call them by their names. It's been a lot harder than I thought. Within 2 hours, I caught myself calling them Buddy about 25 times. It's work in process...

Buddy Beeston... nice ring to it! I'm sure Kylee thinks her name is "Pretty" or "cutie." Hopefully it'll help her self esteem :-)! By the way, Happy Birthday Billy!
