Goats training

When an old friend from our previous ward asked if anyone would be willing to let her use a treadmill a couple of times to train her goats, I laughed out loud. And then, I offered for her to use ours. It just sounded too strange and funny to turn down. The goats were going to be on a Nickelodeon show about animals that can do silly things... in this case, goats on a treadmill.
So April, her 2 daughters, and 2 goats came over. At first the goats wanted nothing to do with the treadmill. But with some bribing, they eventually learned. Kind of. We did have to move the treadmill into the garage because the goats kept pooping. And April did have to make a couple of trips to switch out the goats and see which ones were most willing to learn and train. She said the little ones were usually better. She also said that they usually learn from one another. So if one goat is getting treats for doing the work, then the other ones want to work, too, to earn the treats.

It was so fun to watch (and help) that we went over to their place twice within three days to visit the goats. The girls are both little animals whisperers. Although the llama and deer were definitely not trusting of any of us at first.

The deer eventually warmed up to Kendall and me, sort of.
