Las Vegas

Last weekend, we went to Las Vegas for Billy's 30th birthday celebration. This was also an opportunity to take our first official family vacation.

Day 1

The view.

Our room.

Gambling away... Just kidding... We'd probably get in trouble for those pictures since no one 21 years and younger is even allowed near the machines.

UFC 126 - Billy got to see the fighters (and the announcer) up close and personal while I walked around the city with the boys.

Day 2

At the Mirage to watch the volcano show.

At Treasure Island to watch the dancers and singers.

Occasionally the stroller just wasn't doing the trick, so we let the boys stretch out their tiny legs. Taylor did a fantastic job holding my hand... Logan... not so much.

At Aria (where the Bachelor and the girls stayed while in Las Vegas in last week's episode).
The restaurant at Aria .

Riding the Gondola at the Venetian.

Family picture in front of the Mirage.

In front of the waterfall at the Mirage.

One of my favorite stores, H&M. You wouldn't even know I'm in the picture because the store is so big (and closed on that picture - the boys woke up at 5 that morning).

Checking out the pool area at Caesar's Palace.

Day 3

At the Bellagio fountain show.

Watching the Tournament of Kings (a fanstastic Vegas show), while eating some food with our fingers (the boys did great with that).

At the Mirage, where we were staying. We got to see the dolphins, lions, and tigers from really close up, which fascinated Logan and Taylor.
Opening doors became something the boys really looked forward to everytime they saw doors.
Naptime was... not very good. So we drove up and down the strip while the boys slept.

At the Mandalay Bay, where we ate a yummy lunch.

I also met my twin - kind of! We were in line, at the buffet restaurant, waiting to be seated, when I saw a girl who looked exactly like me. It was kind of spooky at first because I felt like I was looking at myself in the mirror. After we were seated, Billy was like, "Hey, did you see that girl who looked exactly like you?" I was like, "Oh my gosh, so it wasn't just me thinking that? You saw her, too? Yeah, it was scary how much she looked like me."
And, while we were waiting for our flight at airport, we all of sudden heard girls screaming for joy. I told Billy, "Hey, maybe someone won a bunch of money at the slots." Then we saw a bunch of girls following a guy, trying to take pictures of him and with him - It was Flavor Flav! And if you remember Halloween 2008, Billy dressed up as Flavor Flav. Yeah, it was pretty cool!

This was such a fun trip! I think we really needed some time to relax and enjoy being together. I wish we could have stayed longer, but it is nice to be back into our routine and schedule. Next time: Hawaii. Although I'd be happy going to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, or Europe. Anywhere I can relax and soak up some sun sounds great.
