Motivating Movements Dance & Empire Elite Cheer

There was a lot of drama surrounding The Dance Loft this summer. We struggled with the decision to stay or leave for a long time. We really didn't want to leave Miss Ashley behind. But in the end, Alexis' team came first and we made the move to Motivating Movement. Alexis is super happy to be back with her friends AND to be gaining 6 more new friends.

Alexis also stared instructional cheer at Empire Elite. The class is very small. In fact, nowadays, there's only 2 girls most of the time. I sit there for an hour and think that the class is a joke because it is super basic and super simple. But she enjoys it, and I think it's giving her the experience she needs in order to decide next year whether she wants to stick to dance or move forward with cheer.

We also recently received the competition schedule for both girls and all 3 of Alexis' mandatory competitions are on the same weekends as Kendall's competitions. Let's hope for Saturday and Sunday comps.

Colors at School

 Alexis learned the colors at school, so we got to dress her up in a different color each day. That was fun! Except for the fact that she had to wear orange on her birthday. Not the best colors, IMO... Love my sassy girl!

5th Birthday Photoshoot

Alexis won a photoshoot earlier this year. Of course they always get you with those things and we still paid a lot of money toward the pictures, but they were worth it, right?

Logan & Taylor's 12th Birthday

My babies, my first-born babies, are 12! How is this even possible?!?

 

 Because their birthday fell on a Saturday, we were able to celebrate all day! We started off with some Eggstasy food delivery.

The boys then opened up some gifts. By the way, it is so hard to shop for 12 year-old boys. They didn't even want anything. Taylor had outgrown his golf clubs, so he got a new set. Logan got some books and video games.

We then took some of their church friends, school friends, and cousins to an Escape Room. The boys had to rob a casino and escape without getting caught. There was a lot of math involved. Extra credit?

We then brought the boys back to our house for some cake.

We finished off the day going to Fogo De Chao. I think this might be the 3rd year in a row?

I think the boys had a good day. I mean, look at those smiles. They're such good boys. I'm not too worried about them. They'll make good choices and succeed in life.

Alexis officially made it to Sparkle, the Motivating Movements Company.
Her entire team is there now + 6 new girls, for a total of 14 girls.

Ellie did Alexis' hair in Utah and Alexis refused to take it out for 3 weeks.
