June pictures

June means summer fun, and we did have so much fun! The month totally flew by, though. Among other things, we:
- made tie dye shirts

- finished a puzzle

- saw Grandpa and Grandma for Kai's baptism (they brought some goodies back from Israel)

- spent many days playing at the pool at the cousins' house

- made slime, which entertained the kids for 3 hours, seriously

- slept whenever because there is no schedule in the summer

- had the cousins over to snuggle with Alexis

- watched the workers build our pool... we're still watching... and still waiting.

- did homework, which Alexis attempted many times to eat

- played with Snapchat

- went to the Science Museum

- accidentally all got dressed in Navy blue

Vegas Wedding

I wasn't sure about this trip for a long time. I've known about Guy and Carine's wedding in Las Vegas for 3 months prior to the wedding because I had to call The Little White Chapel multiple times to confirm that everything was scheduled and taken care of. My concern was to drive 6 hours, by myself, with 4 kids, including a baby. William's summer schedule is set almost a year in advance because everyone wants time off to get out of this summer heat. Finally, I asked Paul and LeiLani if they could watch the 3 older kids, that way this less than 24 hour trip could be a little easier...? They agreed, but even then the drive was making me super nervous. What if Alexis freaked out? Would I have to stop over and over? Turning the 6-hour drive into an 8-hour drive? I had a deadline to meet. I needed to be at the hotel by 3 because the limousine was picking everyone up at 3:30. Then, a couple of days before the trip, Kendall said she wanted to come with me. It was kind of an unexpected answer to my prayers. Why didn't I think of that before? She could help out with Alexis, and yet 2 kids is a lot easier to manage than 4. And so the Beeston girls headed out to Las Vegas. We stopped for lunch and that was it. The GPS said we'd get there by 3 and I was happy. Until I passed the entrance to the parking garage and had to make a U-turn, on Las Vegas Blvd. That was a 15 minutes mistake. Then I had to drive my car all the way to the top of the parking garage to find a spot. That was another 5 minutes, at least. Then I had to take all of our crap to the elevator. By that time, it was 3:20 and I was starting to freak out. There was no way I'd be able to check in, bring our stuff to our room, and get back downstairs to drive to The Little White Chapel. So, instead of checking in, we went straight to Parrain and Corinne's room, where we left everything. I took a quick shower, because by that time I was soaked in sweat, put a dress on, threw on some heels and lipstick, got the girls changed, and got out of the door in less than 5 minutes. Phew. The limousine picked us up, we got the marriage license, and we headed to The Little White Chapel.
It was a really cool experience! And the guy marrying them was an Elvis- haha! We were so happy for the couple and so happy to be a part of the wedding. Kendall got to hold the rings, too, which was really cool. It was a super short trip and we left the very next day, with everyone following us. By the time we got home, it was 7 PM, and they all left the next day at 10 AM to catch their flight to New York. Our time together was short, but it was so great to see them. I hadn't seen Parrain, Corinne, and Guy in nearly 12 years. And I had never met Carine, although it felt like I had known her for years. None of them had ever met William or the kids, but they connected and got along as if we'd been around each other all this time. <3 Family

Alexis: 9 months and 10 months

So, I have no idea what happened to all the pictures I took for Alexis turning 9 months... There are 2 weeks worth of pictures that are missing. I'm pretty sure they are the pictures that were taken during my transition from one phone to the other. Other than the 9 months pictures, I really have no idea what other pictures are missing :-S
So, anyway, Alexis started crawling at 9 months and pulling up on everything. She's still on the same food and nap schedule, so nothing new there.

At 10 months, Alexis got her top 2 teeth. She's pulling up more and more, and you can find her on her feet more than her little bum-bum. I love it when she's standing and shaking her booty. Not sure if she's trying to find her balance or dancing, but it's super cute. She loves to look at other babies and "talk" to them. Sometimes, though, I think she kinda scares them (the only child's) because she's pretty loud. She babbles more and more and wants to eat big kid food more and more.

Tucson Temple Open House

Between our trips, William's schedule, and the Temple Open House schedule, we had to wait until almost the end of the month to make it to Tucson, but I am so glad we went! This was a first for all of us, walking through the temple before it being consecrated. I am so happy the kids got to see the inside of a temple at such a young age. The spirit within the walls of the temple could be felt so strongly. It was an amazing experience that I will cherish forever.

Disneyland/Universal Studios (Daddy-Kendall trip)

Logan went to New York City, Taylor went to Disneyland, and so it was Kendall's turn. I wanted her to wait until Fall Break, but William had a week off, we had no plans, and so off they went. Kendall decided she wanted to go see the Harry Potter Castle, so I planned the trip in a matter of days. Literally. But since Universal Studios is really just a one-day activity, I sent them to Disneyland and California Adventure, as well. We are so lucky to live within 6 hours of Anaheim and Los Angeles. No flights needed. These two took the van and drove off, as Kendall shed a few tears for leaving Alexis behind. That's right, the tears were for no one else but Alexis.
