One day in my life

In honors of Mother's Day, I made a little montage of pictures and videos describing my day. I can't post the videos for the blog book for obvious reasons, but here are the pictures.

Wake up. Scriptures and prayer. Breakfast. Showers. Lunch bags. Bed making. Hair making. School.

Gym. Grocery shopping. Sunshine basket drop-off. Play and read. Lunch.

Nap time for Alexis. Reading, shower, and cleaning for me.

School pick-up. Snacks. Homework. And school celebration.

Dinner. Reading. Bedtime. More cleaning. Laundry folding. Bedtime for me.

Mother's Day 2018

Once again, the celebration lasted all weekend long, just the way I like it. Saturday we went boating then had lunch at the Culinary Dropout. We made cookies, got in the Jacuzzi, and got a nice dinner at home.
Sunday, I got spoiled with breakfast in bed, Mother's Day questionnaires by the kids, yummy treats and flowers, and the annual tradition of jewelry from Charming Charlie.
I love being a mom. It's not always easy, but it's rewarding. It's the best job in the world, and there's nothing else I'd rather do. I love being home when the kids get back from school. I love playing with Alexis and watching her grow each day. It's pretty exhausting taking the kids to all their activities while entertaining the baby, but I love doing it. I love giving them experiences and opportunities. I want them to be the best that they can be. And I want them to look back at their childhood with a huge smile on their face, knowing they were given everything they dreamed of. I love my 4 babies so much!!!

I'm 33!!!

I'm 33... HOLY CRAP, I'M 33!!! And luckily, my birthday fell on a Sunday, so we celebrated all weekend long!
First off, massage. Oooo, yeah! Then, nerf war, pool time, iFly, shopping at the mall, and gyros for dinner.
Then Sunday, I got breakfast in bed, we went to church, I talked to my parents on the phone, and William barbecued for dinner. Happy 33! Hopefully my unlucky '32' days are over. Between the nearly dislocated jaw, painful wrist joints, kidney stones, and whatever else I'm forgetting, I'm ready to get my body healthy and back in shape.

Kendall is 7!!!

My baby girl is not such a baby anymore. But she is a huge help in taking care of the current baby at home. Kendall is sweet, with a little bit of feistiness and sass. She is caring, smart, athletic, witty, sensitive, strong, and a friend to everyone. She is a leader, determined, spirited, loyal, funny, confident, and inspiring.
I feel privileged to be her mother. She inspires me to be better each day. So for her birthday I spoiled her like crazy. And since the teachers were on strike, we made the most of her special day. First off, I made crepes for breakfast. Then, I showed her her new beam and mat. I also let her open up a present. Since all she wanted were small little toys, I let her open up a new present each hour of the day. I then took her to get a mani/pedi. We picked up the boys and went to My Pie, then the movie theater. We shopped at Justice, then ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse. And we finished the day with a bath in mommy and daddy's bathroom and a bath bomb. Lucky girl!
Kendall has gone a long way since her NICU days... *sigh* Love that girl so much!
