Ohio vaca

Billy is officially a second-year resident! Woot woot! 1 year down and 3 to go!
So he got a week off to finish off his first year. Since we went to Disney World earlier this year, we decided to stick around here and discover Ohio.

We wanted to camp outside, but it was over 100 degrees, so we settled for indoor camping. We also wanted to sleep in there all night with the boys, but they were so rowdy that we ended up putting them in their own beds at 10:30 p.m.
Playing on the deck!

Swimming practice.

At the Columbus Commons!

On the Caroussel.

Girls' Night Out! (The night a storm hit Columbus and a bunch of people lost power)

With Vanessa.

Brittany and Erin

At the Cheesecake Factory.

At the Scioto Mile - Splash Pads!

The bear crawl - don't wanna scrape those cute knees.

At the playground!

At the Scioto Mile again!

On a cruise boat, going down the Ohio River, in Cincinnati!

At the Children Museum, in Cincinnati! (We got in for free because we got there 45 min. before they closed - saved us $50)

It was such a needed vacation for all of us, and we're grateful we could do so much together, as a family.

On a side-note, we also checked out The Book Loft, in German village, a bookstore that has 32 rooms filled with books from the floor all the way to the ceiling. Awesome! And Billy and I went on a date to Joe's Crab Shack, his favorite restaurant. I ate chicken tenders because I don't love sea food. Next time, my choice, chinese food.

Cuteness

Just because... There is so much love in those eyes!

Kendall is 14 months

Kendall is 14 months! It's fun to watch her little personality develop more and more each day. I love that she is getting more independent and girly. She is definitely not a baby anymore. You know, I actually miss her when she sleeps. Sometimes I even go into her room and watch her; yeah, I just stand in the door and watch her sleep. She's just so stinkin' cute!

This month, Kendall:
- got 4 more teeth, within 4 days, for a total of 8 teeth
- discovered that she loves to draw
- started dancing to music
- loves crawling everywhere, including over her brothers
- enjoys hiding under a blanket with her brothers
- loves to play at the splash pads
- enjoys playing the piano
- doesn't seem to enjoy being rear-facing in the minivan anymore
- hates being dropped off at the gym so that I can work out
- says, eyes, book, block, all done, and a few other words I forgot to write down as she said them

I hope Kendall continues to be a smiley, happy, fun-loving girl. She still has the most contagious smile I have seen and laugh I have heard. She always brings a smile to my face, no matter what is going on at the moment. I love her so stinkin' much!

Father's Day

I knew from the moment I met Billy that he'd be a keeper! And then I saw him interacting with his nieces and nephews, and I knew I had to marry him! We are celebrating his 3rd Father's Day and he has yet to prove me wrong about his parenting skills. He is the best daddy in the whole world - patient, loving, fun,... and he is a great example to them. I hope the kids never take him for granted. I hope they appreciate all the sacrifices that he has made and is still making for our family. And I hope they always look up to him, wanting to be "just like daddy" someday.

Kendall's professional pictures

I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful, sincere, talented friends. My friend Vanessa took these pictures a little while ago. I loved how they turned out.
